Mission

To realize its vision, the College is committed to develop responsive and responsible engineers and architects who shall become leaders and citizens of the twenty-first century.

Goals

Guided by its vision and mission, the College aims to:

• Develop competent, productive and self-reliant engineers and architects imbued with sound moral values;
• Conduct and encourage relevant and innovative researches in the field of engineering, architecture and technology;
• Provide extension services that will contribute to community development in terms of skills training, engineering and other technical assistance;
• Promote and maintain mutually beneficial linkages and networking with professional organizations, educational institutions and the industry; and
• Generate goodwill and support of the alumni and the community through active involvement in their activities.

Cognizant of the feedback and the needs of the alumni and the inputs and the standards of the industry and the employers, professional and accrediting organizations and agencies; Angeles University embraces its vision “to emerge as a center of excellence in instruction, research, and community extension services in the region and in the global community” and its mission “total development of man for God and humanity”. The College of Engineering and Architecture is inspired by and anchors its program learning outcomes on the university’s vision and mission. Its target student outcomes specify its course learning outcomes which guide the course planning and delivery procedures such as syllabus preparation, teaching methods, learning activities, assessment tools, and curriculum development. These procedures align with course assessment which is strongly linked to program assessment and supportive of institutional assessment. The College is committed to continuous improvements that translate to the institutional and course outcomes.

Program educational objectives are broad statements that describe what graduates are expected to achieve in their professional and career practice within three to five years after graduation. Program educational objectives are based on the needs of the program’s constituencies and are specific to each program.

Course Outcomes

Course Outcomes (Cos) are statements clearly describing the meaningful, observable and measurable knowledge, skills and/or dispositions students will learn in this course. They are the basis for all learning activity and they communicate very specific expectations to students about what they will learn and what will be assessed. The focus is on student achievement and how this will be demonstrated in assessment rather that generalized descriptions of teaching activity or learning experiences. Course outcomes are specific to each individual course.
