Vision

The College of Allied Medical Professions envisions to help in the promotion of optimal health and function through the application of scientific principles to effectively meet the existing and emerging health care needs.

Mission

The College aims to prepare competent and compassionate graduates who can provide professional health care in the local and global community.

Goals

Specifically, the College aims to:

  • Imbibe in the students sound moral values and Christian virtues needed in the delivery of quality health care services;

  • Provide students with high quality knowledge and skills needed in the practice of their respective professions;

  • Provide students a variety of learning opportunities relevant in the rendition of professional health care services;

  • Encourage students to accept responsibilities, uphold professional ethics and develop empathy and compassion for the benefit of their patients; and

  • Motivate and inspire students to undertake continuing education and research that will foster life-long professional growth.

 

The Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (BSPT) degree program aims to:

  1. direct students in providing the country with humane and scientifically proficient physical therapists who are responsive to the changing health care needs of the society;
  2. produce physical therapists who are competent to fulfil professional responsibilities in the following areas: 
  • patient/client care in various settings for different populations
  • education for patients/clients and physical therapy students in professional courses
  • administration and management of physical therapy institutions and facilities
  • lifelong learning for the development of the professional
  • health promotion and advocacy for the advancement of the profession
  • community service and development
  • research.
  1. provide the students with varied opportunities relevant to the following roles as a clinician,educator, administrator, researcher, advocate and community-based therapist;
  2. promote Christian and moral teaching-learning principles in different learning environments; and
  3. encourage and inspire students to partake in activities related to promoting the profession and appreciate the value of professional development.

 

The Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy (BSOT) degree program aims to:

 

  1. Synthesize and utilize knowledge of health, social, psycho-social, physical, natural and environmental sciences to the practice of occupational therapy;
  2. Utilize occupational therapy foundations and concepts in assessment and intervention in various occupational practice settings and across lifespan within a broad continuum of care; 
  3. Demonstrate beginning management and leadership skills in various occupational therapy practice settings.
  4. Demonstrate beginning research-related skills in the performance of various roles, to use in best OT practices for quality outcomes;
  5. Engage actively in the advocacies of the OT profession and its stakeholders, to respond to the occupational needs of society;

 

The Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology (BSMT) degree program aims to:

  1. Demonstrate technical competence and critical thinking in the performance of clinical laboratory tests in aid of diagnosis, treatment, management of diseases vis-à-vis biosafety and waste management;
  2. Participate in community-oriented activities;
  3. Provide health-related information for effective interpersonal collaborative setting;
  4. Demonstrate proficiency in oral, written and other forms of communication;
  5. Demonstrate inter-personal skills, leadership qualities and ethical practice of the profession;
  6. Apply research skills in relevant areas of Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science practice;
  7. Develop entrepreneurial and management skills necessary to manage a laboratory or contribute to the setting-up of a laboratory;
  8. Maximize the use of innovative technology in the practice of the profession; and
  9. Advocate love of country and service to the Filipino people.

 

The Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPh) degree program aims to:

  1. provide drug information and education by advocating pharmaceutical care as well as counseling clients in the proper use of both prescribed and chosen medications; and by helping the patients undertake appropriate and responsible self-medication or, when necessary, refer the patient formedical advice;
  2. equip the students with knowledge, skills and ability to develop, manage and improve the medication distribution and control systems of a pharmacy;
  3. assist the students in identifying, compounding, manufacturing, storing and dispensing drugs;
  4. encourage the students to promote public health by participating in health promotion campaigns to raise awareness of health issues and disease prevention;
  5. train the students in conducting scientific research and case analysis that may lead to the development of drugs for prevention, diagnosis, mitigation and treatment of diseases of man and animals; and
  6. prepare the students to become advocates of professional and ethical pharmacy practice.

 

The Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology (BSRT) degree program aims to:

  1. provide students with the necessary theoretical knowledge and technical skills in order to become competent and professional radiologic technologists;
  2. promote awareness and develop a sense of responsibility among students as to the benefits derived from, and the risks involved in, the application of various imaging energies (e.g. x-rays, electromagnetic radiation, sound waves, etc.) to humans for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes;
  3. instill among students the correct moral aptitude and Christian values that will guide them when dealing with patients that require their services and assistance as radiologic technologists; and
  4. encourage students to participate in scientific research and participate in activities designed to promote technologic advancement in the field of Radiologic Sciences.

 

Bachelor of Science in Clinical Pharmacy degree program aims to:

  1. Provide clinical skills to assess the status of the patient’s health problems and determine whether the prescribed medications are optimally meeting the patient’s needs and goals of therapeutic care and evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of the patient’s medications.
  2. Equip students to recognize untreated health problems that could be improved or resolved with appropriate medication therapy.
  3. Train students to communicate and consult with patient’s physicians in selecting the medication therapy for an effectively overall therapeutic regimen, and support the health care team’s efforts to educate the patient on how to improve or maintain health, such as exercise, diet, and preventive steps like immunization.and other health care providers
  4. Provide skills in referring patient to his or her physician or other health professionals to address specific health, wellness, or social services concerns as they arise.
  5. Apply specialized knowledge of the scientific and clinical use of medications, including medication action, dosing, adverse effects, and drug interactions, in performing their patient care activities in collaboration with other members of the health care team.

JPPhA (Junior Philippine Pharmacists Association) 

The JPPhA is an organization of Pharmacy students of the Department of Pharmacy. The association believes in the broad principles of pharmaceutical advancement, community involvement and research would be an incentive to greater achievements in the Pharmacy profession. The mission of the Junior Philippine Pharmacists Association is to prepare Pharmacy students, through life long dedication and conscious efforts, to meet the challenges of the expanding role of the pharmacist and to direct health care expertise toward improving the community. Part of its vision is to work with individuals, organizations, and  public agencies to assist in charitable and educational programs.

Physical Therapy Students Society (PTSS)

The Physical Therapy Students Society spearheads student projects and activities of the Department of Physical Therapy. It fosters unity and camaraderie among BS Physical Therapy students as it promotes the interests of the CAMP family in general. It conducts civic-oriented activities and training opportunities in support of formal classroom education in order to contribute to the intellectual and social growth of each student.

Achievers Guild
The Achievers Guild envisions to instill academic excellence, diligence, and compassion among students. The organization aims to intensify the students’ potentials and skills through active participation in the conduct of college-based and university-wide projects.

Society of Future Medical Technologists (SFMT)
The SFMT aims to promote unity and develop the leadership skills of BS Medical Technology students through active participation in community services and projects. It aims to instill in the hearts of future medical lab scientists a deep sense of social responsibility and compassion for a more responsive and relevant cause.

AlliMEd Explorer

The AlliMed Explorer, with the tagline “Soaring Miles through Responsible Journalism”, is the official media outlet of the College of Allied Medical Professions that covers all collegiate and departmental events for the academic year. It serves to discover, hone and exhibit the talents of allied health students in literary works, cartooning and multimedia journalism and in editorial, news, features and sports writing.

Alliance of Radiologic Technology Students (ARTS)

The ARTS aims to develop a responsible studentry who will put educational opportunity to optimum use and look after the unity and welfare of its members. It is geared towards developing a sense of service and responsibility among its members through activities that will benefit the school and the community while upholding the rules and regulations of the student handbook.
