Vision
In line with the University's thrust to be the center of excellence in community extension services in the country and in the global community, the CCDS envisions itself to be the premiere arm of the University in sourcing, coordinating and sustaining resources and activities towards providing relevant, holistic and sustainable community development and extension services to all its stakeholders.
Mission
As a response to the commitment of the University to the "total development of man for God and humanity." the CCDS is geared towards the development of marginalized communities through people empowerment and social transformation.
Another mission of CCDS is to effect a university-wide culture of volunteerism and selfless service to become a more compassionate and sensitive academic institution that will be a catalyst towards national and global transformation and development.
Goals
To realize its mission and vision, the CCDS will utilize the three integrated fields of Community Development practice, namely:
- Community Education - the enhancement of communities' potentials and capabilities.
- Community Organizing - the active participation of every person through collective action in the process of change and transformation.
- Community Resources Management - the promotion of people's well-being and welfare.
